In this course we provide valuable information about how a Human Resources (HR) manager can raise their confidence and ability to hold authoritative and impactful conversations at the board level.

We begin by reviewing the importance of being able to persuade and articulate the value of Human Resource Management (HRM), using language that the boardroom will understand and respect. We then develop a discussion on the unspoken rules for successful board-level relationships to propel the HR agenda forward and be able to influence, persuade and win board-level arguments. This leads to a conversation on a framework of best practice tools, tips and techniques including conducting successful conversations, holding impactful meetings and adjusting your approach and style.

The course is suitable for those HR managers who wish to position the HR agenda and people strategy as a foundation of sustained organizational performance.

I think the course could have been reduced to 1 hr. The first half was more interesting than the second half. There were no clear answers to the last 2 questions even though I went through her verbal presentation and the slides a few times. This is an atypical slide deck in that she has just a few words on the slide but speaks to each concept extensively. It makes reading the slides to understand the presentation not possible. You have to listen to the presentation.

The instructor effectively presented key concepts in an engaging manner, providing a holistic framework and proven techniques for HRM professionals to earn a seat at the executive table and influence relationships with the Board. Very relevant information shared - it's all about investing in stakeholder relationships!

Good information - Easily adaptable to any boardroom setting. Would have loved some more specific suggestions; however, not everyone woks in the same setting so that would never work - Thanks so much.
