Understanding the Fraud Triangle

THIS EVENT IS IN THE PAST
2023-02-16
Thursday 11:00 AM PST
until
12:00 PM PST Duration: 1 hour

Webinar Highlights

The Fraud Triangle was first developed almost 50 years ago by Donald Cressey, a sociologist and criminologist who was an authority on organized crime.

This webinar will provide an overview of the 3 key components of the fraud triangle – pressure, opportunity, and rationalization – and how trusted persons can become trust violators when all 3 conditions are present.

Along the way, the webinar will use the fraud triangle to explore why several large and not-so-large frauds were committed.
