Speakers
Lindsay Chin - Google
Lindsay has over 12 years of experience in both internal and external audit. She began her career on the east coast working at PwC in external audit and then moved into the risk assurance practice with a focus on the technology sector.
Currently, Lindsay is a manager on Google’s SOX & Internal Controls Compliance team. She supports the team’s activities related to risk assessment and scoping, testing methodology, and automation efforts over finance control automation & PMO activities. Lindsay is also an advisor to business processes regarding ICFR considerations around controls and risks to the platform & ecosystems and plan budgeting and forecasting processes.
Lindsay is a California Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Master in Accountancy. She enjoys traveling and discovering new local restaurants.
Ed Alizadeh - Google
Ed is a passionate and versatile business professional, who is driven by mission and making impacts leveraging 13+ years of professional experience. Ed is experienced in SOX and risk management of the technology and banking industries. His focus has been on process enhancements, new accounting standard implementations, system conversions, and testing of internal controls over financial statements. Ed manages SOX Ads revenue and fixed assets processes for Alphabet.
Progress is his north star, and he strives to get better every day.
Amanda Kaur - Google
Amanda has over 10 plus years of experience in internal controls compliance. She began her career in the Pacific Northwest working at KPMG as part of their advisory practice with a focus on technology and manufacturing sectors.
Amanda is a Manager in Google’s gSOX & Internal Controls Compliance team. She advises on ICFR considerations for various business processes including Cloud, Devices & Services, Source to Pay, Payroll, and Billing & Payment. She also leads the regulatory and standard setting monitoring activities.
Amanda is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). She enjoys hiking in the redwoods with her husband and dog (Ozzy).
Blake Lewis - Google
Blake (she/her) is a highly motivated analyst with a track record of leveraging problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive operational improvements. She supports Google’s gSOX Internal Controls Compliance team’s budgeting and testing initiatives and vendor/stakeholder management.
In 2021, Blake launched her career at Google with the Genesis Program (go/genesisprogram). This two-year program honed her skills in streamlining processes, automating tasks, and collaborating effectively. Through four six-month rotations, Blake gained diverse experience in Finance across the gSOX Internal Controls Compliance, Controllership Strategy & Ops, FP&A Hub, and Regulatory Affairs Finance teams. Ultimately, she returned to gSOX with a well-rounded skillset and a proven ability to drive efficiency.
Beyond technical expertise, Blake displays a clear passion for fostering community and equity at Google and beyond. This enthusiasm for building inclusive environments is reflected in contributions to the Black Googler Network, coordination of various team-building activities, and participation in volunteer events such as Computer Science Education Week.
