In this course, we examine diversity through a more comprehensive perspective. Diverse teams that see, think, and act from a multifaceted approach are the ones creating world class innovation. They are the world leaders because they welcome differences and foster collaboration while demanding innovation. Human Resources (HR) professionals are perfectly positioned to foster this innovation if they leave the old, narrow methodology and embrace the new paradigm of diversity.
First, we examine the limitations of the old Industrial Paradigm’s emphasis upon quotas and ethnicity and why the Sharing Economy demands a different approach. Second, we explore several components to diversity that have been proven to build innovative teams. Third, we create a strategic plan for building diversity in your organization. Fourth, we create an action plan for implementing diversity from your position of influence within Human Resources.
