2 CPE In this class we explore the different characteristic traits of visionaries and what it means to be a visionary. We identify strategic foresight and discuss ways to develop your own strategic foresight as well as ways strategic foresight can provide your organization competitive edge. We identify the meaning of integrative thinking and explore how it is used to improve and empower teams. We discuss how to execute your vision by implementing visionary traits, strategic foresight and integrative thinking. Upon completion of this class, HR professionals and executives will be able to train managers and teams on strategic thinking, foresight and valuable integrative thinking approaches which will empower cohorts and teams to be more invested, productive and effective at immediate organization improvement.

I enjoyed this course because the instructor laid a holistic foundation for strategic thinking and planning. He offered up some points that I hadn't considered in my many years of FP&A. My guess is that most of us tend to lean financially, and for that reason I appreciated the philosophical bent. I especially liked the idea that our teams should be in this mode continually and should be rewarded for doing so.

This course was slow moving and very basic. It might be helpful for someone who has never had a management or leadership class before. The instructor labored over obvious ideas, such as why diversification is good for a business, or why it is nice to know ahead of time about challenges that will come. This was a waste of time.
