Cindy KraftCFO Coach
Thank you Cindy for putting together a great class! Could you let me know a good way to vet the recruiters regarding a job search?
You are welcome. That is a great question, Stephen!
You can feel very confident to vet recruiters just as you would any other service provider you would choose to use. I think the first vetting is whether they are a contingency or retained recruiter. That, in and of itself will tell you much.
Check their Linkedin profiles - with whom are they connected? What do their recommendations say? This might give you some folks with whom you can connect and talk with regarding their experience working with that recruiter
Ask the recruiter how many placements they've had in the past year and over a 3-year period, whom were they placing, and with what kinds of companies.
Hopefully, that will get you started!
