This is a complete course of study providing education and training which allows the student to learn the law of torts as the law applies to insurance coverage and insurance claims on the way to becoming certified as an Expert in Corporate Liability Insurance. The course covers everything an employee, officer, or director of a corporation (or an officer or agent of an insurer) needs to know about tort law as it applies to liability insurance. It is the purpose of liability insurance to protect those people and entities insured against claims they were damaged by the insured’s tortious conduct.

- Understanding the law of torts to understand the promises made by a liability insurance policy, and how to deal with the claims for damages.
- How a tort can state a claim for damages is important to every liability insurance policy.
- The defenses available to claims of damages caused by a tort are essential to the promises made by the liability policy.
