In this course, we discuss everything that a line manager needs to know about the Human Resource (HR) function and its role within organizations.

These courses begins with a broad overview of HR issues, the responsibilities of HR specialists and the role of the line manager in working with the HR function. This leads to a conversation about how the function can assist business aims and goals, and the employee life-cycle. Finally, we work through key line manager HR activities including recruitment and selection; performance management and appraisals and their role in developing employee engagement and commitment.
This course is suitable for anyone considering or moving into a role in HR, those with responsibility for providing advice on HR as part of their role or those who may be taking on more HR responsibilities.
