This course provides an explanation of what liability insurance is and how a corporation can acquire liability insurance to protect it. A corporation needs protections from potential risks as a result of claims of: bodily injury; property damage; or, various events called personal injury. Protection from liability is gained through the use of an insurance agent, and insurance broker, dealing with a direct writing insurer or by use of the expertise of a corporate employed or independent risk manager.  

This course covers the following:

  1. How to purchase a third-party liability policy.
  2. Understanding the coverages provided by a third-party liability policy.
  3. The use of an insurance agent to acquire insurance.
  4. The use of an insurance broker to acquire insurance.
  5. The availability of direct writing insurers to acquire coverage.
  6. The use of a risk manager to acquire the proper and needed insurance.
