In this course, we will discuss the importance of investigating organizational issues and underlying problems or situations so the right change intervention can be designed. We will start with a brief overview of how to facilitate the discovery of issues with organizational members to develop evidence and ideas for a potential change program. This leads to a conversation about how to conduct an extensive assessment of the issues that are prompting the need for change and the cyclical nature of change processes.
Then we will explore how engaging in a process of deliberately and systematically including multiple perspectives in the diagnostic process can lead to reframing to address what is really going on in the organization. This course will serve to examine methods of investigation and explore issues and areas for improvement and development through the change process.
