In this course we will discuss the four elements of Emotional Intelligence, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management, as a key differentiator for high performance in today's world of work, where collaboration and influence are essential.

Following a definition of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), we will explore how everyday stress and personal triggers can limit our ability to make the best decisions. Then we will examine how EQ comes into play during our interactions with others at work. We will examine specific strategies that can promote more productive relationships and close with Action Planning to apply after the course.

This course provided a great refresher of emotional intelligence dimensions as well as techniques for increasing self awareness and achieving desired outcomes in the workplace. The instructor presented content in an easy-to-understand manner; however, the audio did have some background noise that persisted throughout the presentation. Good supporting materials provided which reiterated key concepts and a foundation for self reflection.

This course gives an overview of theories related to emotional intelligence and some helpful tips on how to start applying in the work setting. However, throughout the course the microphone picked up background noise or seemed to be rubbing against something and that was extremely distracting, detracting from learning.

I disliked how mono toned the instructor was. She seemed informative, but she just kept hopping around from topic to topic during the lesson
