Laura Fisher

Laura Fisher is the Founder and Managing Director of Silicon Valley Treasury Consulting Group (www.svtreasury.com) and is a Registered Investment Advisor in the State of California. As an independent consultant since 2002, Laura advises clients in the areas of Corporate Treasury, Finance and Risk Management. Prior to consulting, Laura served as the Portfolio and Risk Manager for Cisco Systems, Inc. where she traded a $2 billion fixed income portfolio and had oversight for $10 billion of corporate cash managed by numerous external asset management firms. In addition, she was responsible for portfolio accounting including SEC disclosures, forecasting Other Interest Income and Expenses (OI&E) and managing a staff of five financial professionals. Prior to working at Cisco Systems, Laura served in various management positions at SyQuest Technology, Cadence Design Systems, Philip Morris (New York) and American Hospital Supply (Chicago). She has a B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and completed an independent study program at Santa Clara University, MBA Agribusiness School where she studied commodities and risk management.
