Never thought we'd get here. Illumeo recenty posted its 1,000th course - and then we just kept on going.

It has been about 4 years' time, and our more than 200 instructors have built well over 1,000 courses. Some courses have a limited life as they are periodic updates or their technical elements are supplanted by more current regulations, so there is always a bit of ebb and flow, but the direction has been constant, and that has been up and up!

We're not just proud of the number, we're especially proud of the quality. Illumeo is the only audit, accounting and CPE site we know of where course ratings and reviews are just available - and actively encouraged. They help the users find great courses and they really help us. Good reviews let us know when we're doing well and encourage us to do more of it. Negative reviews show us very clearly where we can do better. With well over 50,000 course ratings and a 4.5 star average, we're clearly doing something right.

I remember in the earliest days of Illumeo I asked a public company CFO how much "library" was enough. He said come talk to him when we hit 150 courses (I recall that we were about halfway there at the time). That 150 felt very far away. But when we eclipsed it, we went back and he brought our solution aboard to over 500 of his employees.

From there, 1,000 courses seemed like a faraway dream, but now that we're here we realize that there is no ceiling. There is always more to learn, and we're just scratching the surface. Last year alone we published hundreds of new courses and thousands of CPE credit hours of content, and we're only accelerating our pace.
