Effective leadership in any capacity starts with the ability to lead …yourself. This course’s primary objective is to provide you with a clear understanding of what personal (or self) leadership is and how it contributes to both your success as a person and as a leader.
Our conversation begins with defining personal leadership and differentiating it from other leadership types (leading others, leading organizations, etc.). We then move on to examine the foundational components (i.e. self-awareness, self-management, self-mastery, etc.) that contribute to your self-leadership capacity and personal effectiveness, including your beliefs, values, guiding principles, and personality. Finally, we focus on the necessary elements of your personal leadership action plan.
From aspiring and emerging leaders to seasoned professionals, this course will supply you with the tools to honestly evaluate where you currently stand in leading yourself (and ultimately, others) and use this information to successfully shift as needed to get to where you want to be in your leadership endeavors.
