Serge L. Wind has over thirty years of experience in applying quantitative financial analysis to industry issues. He has analyzed major mergers, long-range plans, and the capital investment program for AT&T, as well as establishing guidelines for business cases, transfer pricing, and corporate governance. Serge initiated the use of the value-based EVA metric as the measure for variable compensation for 110,000 management employees. He instituted portfolio analysis of Lucent Technologies' products and services. Mr. Wind served as senior advisor to the Chief Financial Officers of both companies.

Both Mr. Wind's degrees, a Ph.D. in statistics and a B.A. in mathematics and economics (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) were awarded by Columbia University.

Mr. Wind has prepared twelve papers relating to ongoing contemporary financial events. His most recent output includes: "Buffett Buffeted but Triumphant" (December 2013); “Why is this Job Recovery Different than All Others?” (July 2012); “Banks Matter in Eurozone Debt Crisis” (Dec. 2011) and “Eurozone Sovereign Debt Crisis” (Nov. 2011). Dr. Wind is currently teaching Intermediate Corporate Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance and Principles of Financial Modeling at NYU – SCPS. He has taught Mergers and Acquisitions, Managerial Finance, Advanced Managerial Finance, Applied Managerial Statistics, and Foundations of Managerial Mathematics at Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry College of New York, where he is Adjunct Senior Professor.

Generated semi-monthly performance reports to top officers explaining causes of financial results and outlooks. Initiated portfolio analysis for business units to guide resource allocation and exiting of products. Introduced Managing for Value initiative linking all decisions to long-term economic profits. Established financial benchmarks for new Lucent Company based on competitor analogs.

Director - Financial Analysis & Studies : AT&T - [1970-10 to 1996-10]
Prepared due diligence study for Network Systems, delineating critical success factors, for IPO underwriters. Took the lead in adoption of EVA as financial measure linked to compensation for 110,000 employees. Analyzed major AT&T mergers with McCaw and NCR Designed division of local operations into seven independent Baby Bells.
